She or he is:
An appointed or elected representative of his or her Local Union. Lodge, Branch or Division who represents that Union and brings the experience from that sector of the workplace to this body of labor.
A reporter for that Union to bring back news and reports of the programs and issues and events, which the labor body undertakes.
A volunteer for the collective labor community.
A spokesperson for the poor, the unemployed, the underemployed both union and nonunion alike.
A champion for social justice, working for equal rights for all men, women and children of the community.
A watchdog for Labor, reporting on local politics or other labor related matters from his or her community.
A taxpayer, a voter, one who demands fair treatment and fair play for all member of society.
A Union Member that is willing to place the needs of the many over and above the needs of ones self! |
