Our Workers Memorial

 

April 28th - Workers Memorial Day in La Crosse. The Western Wisconsin AFL-CIO commemorates and remembers all fallen and injured Coulee Region workers at a ceremony held at our Workers Memorial Monument that day.

  • 1991 Dedicated East of Present Day Monument Site By President Wayne Ellefson Jr. (30 in attendance)
  • 1992 Trees planted

  • 1994 Speaking Program

  • 1996 Speaking Program
  • 1997 Speaking Program
  • 1998 Speaking Program
  • 1999 Plans for building a Monument announced by President Terry L. Hicks, 200 in attendance.
  • 2000 Tent, Food, Speaking Program, Everything constructed except the roof, flagpole moved, Building Dedicated
